Christmas/New Year & Pongal Winter Special Trains – 2015

Special Trains for New year &  Christmas 2015 (i.e) Winter Special Trains  are announced by Indian Railways. To clear the extra rush in the holiday season Indian railway announced holiday  special trains today.

Advance reservations for the above trains will commence o­n 08.11.2015.

Special Fare special trains between Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central

Train No.06122 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central special fare special train will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 19.00 hrs. o­n 02^nd, 09^th, 16^th, 23^rd, 30^thDecember, 2015 and 06^th & 13^th January, 2016 and reach Chennai Central at 11.30 hrs. the next day.

Train No.06123 Chennai Central – Thiruvananthapuram special fare special train will leave Chennai Central at 15.15 hrs. o­n 03^rd, 10^th, 17^th, 31^stDecember, 2015 and 07^thJanuary, 2016 and reach Thiruvananthapuram at 07.45 hrs. the next day.

Composition:AC 2-tier – 2, AC 3-tier – 3, Sleeper Class – 12, General Second Class – 2& Luggage-cum-brake van – 2 coaches.

Stoppages: Kollam, Kayankulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Chenganaseri, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Arakkonam.

Train No.06122 Thiruvananthapuram – Chennai Central special fare special train will stop at Perambur also.

Special Fare special trains between Chennai Central – Kollam

Train No.06124 Chennai Central – Kollam special fare special train will leave Chennai Central at 18.20 hrs. o­n 02^nd, 07^th, 09^th, 14^th, 16^th, 21^st, 28^th, 30^th December, 2015 and 04^th, 06^th& 11^th January, 2016 and reach Kollam at 11.30 hrs. the next day.

Train No.06125 Kollam – Chennai Central special fare special train will leave Kollam at 17.00 hrs. o­n 01^st, 03^rd, 08^th, 10^th, 15^th, 17^th, 22^nd, 24^th, 29^th, 31^st December, 2015 and 05^th, 07^th, 12th & 14^th January, 2016 and reach Chennai Central at 09.40 hrs. the next day.

Composition:AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 12 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2coaches.

Stoppages: Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tiruppur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrissur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur and Kayankulam.

Train No.06125 Kollam – Chennai Central special fare special train will stop at Perambur also.

Superfast special trains between Chennai Central – Ernakulam Jn.

Train No.06109 Chennai Central – Ernakulam Jn. superfast special train will leave Chennai Central at 19.00 hrs. o­n 04^th, 11^th, 18^th December, 2015 and 01^st, 08^th & 15^thJanuary, 2016 and reach Ernakulam Jn. at 05.00 hrs. the next day.

Train No.06110 Ernakulam Jn. – Chennai Central superfast special train will leave Ernakulam Jn. at 23.30 hrs. o­n 13^th & 20^th December, 2015 and 10^thJanuary, 2016 and reach Chennai Central at 09.30 hrs. the next day.

Composition: AC 2-tier – 1, AC 3-tier – 2, Sleeper Class – 12 & Luggage-cum-brake van – 2coaches.

Stoppages: Katpadi, Erode, Coimbatore, Palakkad and Thrissur.

I want to share this information to the people because in this year New year  & Christmas would be the prefect holiday vacation because Christmas 2015 & New year 2015 are coming on Friday. Most of the MNC Companies are leave on Saturday & Sunday. so If we take four days leave for Christmas & New year festival then it would be a perfect vacation for you. Plan your vacation & have fun 🙂
